Forrest Griffin Apologizes to Anderson Silva
Former UFC light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin lost more than a few fans following his UFC 101 loss to Anderson Silva, and that’s no secret. Griffin stood toe to toe with Silva and was dominated for the short amount of time the fight lasted, ending with an unbelievably embarrassing knockout. That, however, was the least of Griffin’s worries.
Following the bout, a distraught Forrest Griffin jumped up, looked to his corner, grabbed a towel, and sprinted from the cage before Anderson Silva knew what happened. Fight fans, reporters, and fighters alike all criticized Griffin for exiting the cage and disrespecting his opponent, Anderson Silva. Over the weekend at UFC 106, Forrest Griffin sought out Silva to apologize for the incident, and the Las Vegas Sun was there to witness it:
“I’m sorry I ran out on you, it was no disrespect. I just wanted it to be a great fight and I was really disappointed when it wasn’t.”
One has to believe that the dominating performance Griffin put on in his bout with Tito Ortiz did more for himself mentally than anything else, as Griffin proved that despite a poor performance at UFC 101, he is to be taken seriously as a legitimate contender.

I hate Forrest, I hope he gets knocked out real soon
Wow. I hate you and i wish you get hurt too real soon, hahhaha stupid comment
I would like to hear the response Anderson Silva had in return. I still have respect for Forest but it does not change the fact Anderson is the best pound for pound in this weight class.
